Steve ChongIntroducing Steve Chong – RICE Movement director

Steve Chong is the founder and Director of the RICE movement which started 7 years ago with 5 churches and a 130 youth. The RICE movement in the city of Sydney today spans 5000 young people, 50 churches, and a 1000 working professionals, and has presence in a 165 high schools in our city.  He has a passion to see God pour out His Spirit on the city of Sydney, claiming it for His own renown. Steve is also the lead pastor of a church plant/revitalizaton at Kirkplace Kogarah and sets the vision, culture and direction of the church under God.  One of the most important things he has benefited from in his role as a church planter is having an experience-rich ‘board of mentors’ to draw advice from and he is hoping that rice en:trust will provide something similar for others.  He and his wife Naomi have two sons, Reuben and Jacob.
